A few people have asked for a quick pizza base recipe I found recently.
Makes 2 bases - small to medium in size.
Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
8g sachet dried instant yeast
1/2 teaspoon caster sugar
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
good pinch salt
Method:
- Sift the flour
- Add yeast, sugar and salt
- Mix in water and oil in a seperate bowl and then add to flour mix
- Remove wedding ring
- Mix with hands until it all comes together
- Place on a floured surface and knead for 8 minutes (or until it is elastic and springs back when you poke at it.)
- Cut in half and roll into a ball.
- Rest on bench for 15-30 minutes.
- Roll onto a floured board or pizza stone or whatever.
- Top with all your old favourites.

- Cook in an oven at the hottest possible temp, pizza oven, on a stone or whatever floats your boat.
Note: If you are using a Pizzamaker Pizza Oven the temp needs to be on the cooler side when you first pop the pizza in.
