Jos and Gareth's wedding.

Yesterday we had Jos and Gareth's wedding. It was one of the nicest weddings I have ever been to and I am eternally greatful for being allowed to be a part of their day. The wedding ceremony was personal and loving. The reception was small and informal with the room filled with great friends and closest family. I cannot express how wonderful it was to be a part of their special day as their bridesmaid. Today I plan on doing little or nothing... Maybe a trip to the movies is in order! Here is a picture of the day. I will try to upload all of them to flickr soon.

Sometimes you just want to say enough already!

Life gets too hectic at times. You feel as though you have 10 balls all in the air. Little by little one ball gets dropped, then another and it all starts to fall apart.

I have a terrible habit of "Let me just do it myself, at least I know it is done to my standards then". I don't delegate well. I don't communicate well. It is my lot and it is who I am.

The first ball to fall recently is my housekeeping, then came socialising, then my diet, followed closely by exercising and then my general ability to get up in the morning. All the important things keep happening, but the little things start to fall off. Unfortunately it is these little things that make my life fun and worth living.

So tomorrow I have a day off work to try my hardest to get everything back on track again. I aim to clean the house, do some weights and get in some shopping I have been meaning to do for a while - like groceries! Fingers crossed everything will be back on track soon.

On the upside my eggplants and watermelons are growing like crazy. Everything else is being devoured by baby grasshoppers. Note to self - add "make a chilli spray" to list of things to do.

Jon Auer @ The Troubadour

One word... WOW!

It was completely amazing to see someone sing the songs that made up the soundtrack of many moments in your life including my final year of high school and most of the time I lived in Cambodia. Each occasion was via a different band and to have one person up there playing the music from the two bands that had a huge impact on me was mind blowing.

I got to hear a few of my fav Posie tracks that made my Year Twelve so much better. Bigstar blew my mind in 2004 when I was discovering a new side to me. While it was only one Bigstar song it was indeed a goodie - Thirteen. It was also great to hear the new solo album songs - yep that is one heck of a perky album huh?

One gig that has made it into my Top Ten of all time.

PS: Michelle - asked Jon to pass onto you a big hello from me! I guess he gets a lot of girls coming up to him going - "Hi Jon - can you say hi to your wife for me?" :o)
